Shu Uemura mascara – not a fan

After reading some reviews and hearing positive feedback, I decided to buy a tube of Shu Uemura mascara and I have to say that I’m not a fan at all. I’d say that this is something that might be good for everyday, but certainly not for a night out. It only made my lashes darker and separated them a little. I didn’t notice any thickening or lengthening. It is also near impossible to get off, even after using two different eye makeup removers (Almay and Clinique). I actually lost a few eyelashes trying to get it off. I'm going to try and return this to Sephora as fast as I can.

I think I'll stick with my DiorShow and drugstore mascaras (Cover Girl Eyelights and Lash Blast Luxe).

    Diorshow is my all time favorite! I've never used anything else!

    I just really love Lash Blast, haha! It makes my eyelashes look SO long and thick!

    Diorshow is my favorite. I've always used that. However, recently, I got a tube of Benefit's Bad Gal lash, and I love it too.

    I've always been a maybelling pink tube classic kinda girl. I recently ventured into Define a Lash and I love it!

    I use the the stuff in the lime green tube that I posted about a while back, I cant remember who makes it right this second. Its fabuous....but I have really long lashes, so all I use it for it to separate them, so I really have no Idea how good it really is on lengthening and such. Sorrry this product sucked for you :(

    I use bourjois volume clubbing mascara... a little pricey... but it has lasted me nearly 6 months and it is SO volumizing! I love it, and it doesn't take long to get full lashes!

    I've tried so many. The Lancome Oscillation Mascara is fun (does all the work for you - but really how much work is it to put on mascara?) and doesn't clump at all.

    But, I was recommended DiorShow Blackout by Sweet Simplicity and now that is my all-time favorite!

    How disappointing to hear about the Shu Uemura! My all time favorite is Clinique High Impact...I always get asked if I'm wearing false eyelashes when I wear it. The price is rather nice too (only $14 or so).

    That stinks about the mascara!

    I'm a bit of a mascara whore...I flip flop between Benefit's Bad Gal lash (in plum), Cover Girl Eyelights (or whatever it's called), Tarte's 4 in 1 and, my all time fave, Maybelline's Great Lash (the one in the pink tube).

    All this talk about Diorshow has my interest piqued though...I guess I'll try that in a few months! ;-)

    I love all the Maybelline mascaras and the best one is called "The Colossal Volume Express" in Glam Black. It makes my eyelashes look like I have falsies on!

    I love maybelline mascara, the pink & green stuff as my everyday stuff. I keep it in the car. I also love bare essentials mascara!

    Shame the Shu Uemura mascara wasn't good because their eyelash curler is awesome!

    I recently bought some mascara (NYC or Rimmel, can't remember) because a coworker suggested I try it. My eyelashes are already dark, so I figured the lengthening would be good. But I can NOT apply it!! I always get smears on my eyelids, and I get clumps. Is there a way to avoid this, or just practice? Or is it the mascara brand? Maybe I should try what you recommended.

    NO matter how many different mascaras I try, I ALWAYS end up coming back to L’Oréal Voluminous mascara in black brown. Best mascara EVER!

    This is so funny... no matter how many times we use it, we just don't like the Diorshow! Our favorite has to be Clinique and then Maybelline.

    I have always loved Lancome and never strayed until I heard so many amazing things about Covergirl Lashblast- I was converted! I think it's the brush but I love that stuff and it's so cheap!
