Tuesday tidbits

Lunch

Today, my girlfriends from work and I went to Seasons 52 for lunch. I’ve wanted to try it for awhile and it was delicious. I didn’t really know what it was all about other than the food was supposed to be healthy and fresh. I learned that all of the items on the menu are less than 475 calories and the menu changes weekly. I thought that was kind of fun and different. I need to go for dinner because they have about 60 wines that are available by the glass.

For lunch, I had the Grilled Portobello Turkey Burger with a small side salad and we also had some Rosemary & Parmesan Cheese Crispbread for the table. At the end, they bring over this dessert sampler and you can pick what you like right from it. I couldn’t have just one, so I tried the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Mousse and Key Lime Pie. It was decadent!

Nails

Ever since I took off my acrylic nails in the fall, it seems that my nails have never truly bounced back. They have been peeling and break very easily. I had enough and got a recommendation from a lady at the nail salon I go to. She told me to get a bottle of Nailtiques in Formula 2 (treatment for soft, peeling, bitten, weak or thin nails). You put on a coat each day until your nails bounce back and then you should be on your way to having healthier nails. I’ve only applied this the past 2 days, but I must say that they already feel thicker and stronger. It was on the expensive side, but I think it was worth it.

After The Final Rose

I think Jillian and Ed are really in love, so I’m happy for them. They just seemed real when they were together tonight and I didn’t think it was an act. I guess time will tell! When Reid came out, it was kind of awkward and Kiptyn seems like he will be just fine.

I have to say that I am getting a little sick of the twists at or towards the end of these shows. It seems the producers are trying to up the drama factor and I get it (ratings), but let’s keep it as real as we can for reality TV, okay ABC?

I'm tired of the twists at the end too! I'm glad she picked Ed though. I've loved him all along.

Also, I had my nails taken off at the beginning of May & they are so thin. Ugh, its horrible!

That restaurant looks fab! I wish we had one of those here...I probably would've had one of each of those desserts! Also, I've heart that Nailtiques stuff is really good. They used it at the salon I went to.

the restaurant sounds yummy! Everytime I get my fake nails taken off my real nails are soft and bendable for like 4 months after...its almost not worth it. But mine did bounce back eventually. Ill have to keep that stuff in mind for next time!

That restaurant sounds awesome! I wish I lived closer so I could try it. :)

And I'm scared to death have my nails taken off. I don't have tips...just an acrylic overlay on my natural nail. Still scared.

thanks for posting about the seasons 52 restaurant. i have been wanting to go there for a while. there is one that too far away from me but it requires a drive there. i remember seeing a report about them on tv and how they change their menu alot and that same dessert you have the pic of. that dessrt is the main reason i wanna go there. it just looks so good and i love that presentation. i havent forgotten about it but just havent had the time. thanks for posting and reminding me of it again.

I enjoy going to Seasons 52. I never leave feeling like I ate TOO much! It's nice...and the decor is perfect!

I haven't used Nailtiques in YEARS. I think I should revisit that one!

OK, I need a place that like to eat at for lunch!!! :-)

And I SWEAR by Nailtiques...I, too, used to wear acrylics (I also wore gel overlays for a while) and my nails were so beat up. Nailtiques is awesome...a bit on the $$$...but worth every last dime!

I agree with the comments about The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I wish they would try to stop playing on so much of the drama.

However, I'm really glad she picked Ed! :)

I haven't seen last night's show yet! But, Husby and I wish she picked Ried. Maybe we'll think differently after seeing the show.

I definitely agree with you... ew, ABC really turned me off after this season of Bachelorette. I feel like there were too many things. I personally loved Kyptin, but Ed was good for her, I think!

I love seasons 52!! There is one right by my house, and it's so nice to go to for lunch before the beach--much lighter for a swimsuit. :) lol.

Yes, I agree about the Bachelor/Bachelorette... the twist are getting annoying each season.

The restaurant you had lunch at looks AMAZING! The little desserts are so cute.

Oh.My.Goodness!!! Those desserts look so yummy!!! Have you tried OPI Nail Envy? I don't know if it's the same price as the Nailtiques but I've been using it since I took my artificials off and I swear by it. I didn't like the Nailtiques line as much as the OPI line. One other hint...buy a brush on nail glue. That will help for the first few months. :) XOXO

Hi I just ran across your blog and we must be blog sisters (I love pink too).

Could I have dessert with you? I totally want them but am trying to limit sugar before the wedding. Sooo tempting...

Nailtiques is AMAZING and worth every penny. I had a post about it a while back and I was so surprised how few people know about it. Glad to hear your nails are back in god shape!
