Nail polish review

I’ve been quite the frugalista lately and have been slowly discovering the fantastic products offered at the local drugstore. One of the things I’ve been most impressed with is the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish. This polish isn’t necessarily cheap for the drugstore, but if you have a coupon or it’s on special, it is quite the bargain. The formula is also fantastic and it’s saving me from going to the nail salon for a manicure.

I got this in the shade Choco-Latte and it looks like a pinky nude on my nails. It is pretty opaque and really only took 2 coats. My favorite thing about this is the brush. It was very easy to control. The difference between this and normal brushes is that it’s wide and flat, where normal brushes are more rounded and slim. The flatness of the brush coupled with the width made it easy to apply with only a few stokes.

This formula claims to be a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, color and top coat all-in-one. I will have to wear it longer to see if it actually strengthens my nails. As for the base and topcoat, I think that I will wear a base next time to help it smooth on a little better.

Hopefully this review was helpful and I can do more like them in the future.

This was not a sponsored post. I purchased the nail polish myself and formed my own opinion about the product.

I noticed those last time I was at ole Walmart. I was tempted, but I have too much nail polish...but I'm sure I'll eventually cave and get some anyway. I'm addicted to trying new products!

I like your disclaimer :)
I am horrible at giving myself manicures! I actually even hate getting them in the salon. I am a pedicure only kind of girl.

Jules, thanks for the review. I actually bought the green nail polish earlier this week, but haven't used it yet. The sand tends to mess up my nails. I can't wait to try it out later next week! :)

Happy Friday!!!

Thanks for the info. Love the color. I'm looking at my toes right now thinking...I need to head to get a pedi!

Have a great weekend!

I love that stuff and I've been using it for a few months but I gotta say, the quality varies by bottle. The light stuff does not go on nearly as well as the darker colors.

Nice color. I ususally shy away from colored polish because it just looks to "much" for me (unless it is October and then I wear black). But that is a great color....I think I might have to give it a try.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Cheers!

I've always been an OPI girl, but I have heard great things about Sally Hansen...perhaps I will have to give it a try! I really like that color, I am always looking for a good neutral shade for my fingers.

I used that brand quite a lot. Since the dude was born, I don't get as many pedis as I used to...so it's DIY time! Fab review!

I tried a couple of these shades and really liked them. I especially think that the brush is fantastic - probably the best brush I've used (definitely easier to control than any other, including OPI).

That color looks really pretty on you. I may have to try that one!

I hope you have a great weekend!

I am so cheap that Sally Hansen is expensive to me! I will say that the strengthening polish really does work though!

Thanks for the review =)

p.s. I gave you an award over at my blog ;)
