Six Flags birthday fun!

First of all, thank you so much for all of the sweet birthday wishes! You all know how to make a girl smile.

Yesterday, I spent my birthday like any inner 14-year old would. My friend Kristen and I headed to Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor. We got up bright and early, grabbed a quick breakfast, went to the grocery store in search of Coke cans with buy 1 admission, get 1 free (with success) and headed to the parks.

We started off at Six Flags and went straight for Kingda Ka, which is literally the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world. It speeds to 128 mph and goes 456 feet into the sky. I honestly felt like I was on a rocket blasting into outer space. We loved it and I’m so glad I finally got to go on this ride. After Kingda Ka, we went on The Twister and then headed to Superman: Ultimate Flight.

The day was getting hot and it was mid-afternoon at this point, so we drove across the way to Hurricane Harbor. The first thing we did was get on the new Tornado. This is one insane water ride. It is 60-feet tall and 132-feet long. You shoot down a huge drop into a funnel and slide through super fast. It was so much fun and we loved every second of it. After this we went on The Big Bambu slide and then took it easy in the lazy river for a really long time. We pretty much closed the park, grabbed some snacks in the car and then headed back for Great Adventure.

We went on Houdini’s Great Escape which is so fun and kind of a haunted house, optical illusion type ride and then went on Batman. Next, we headed to The Dark Knight and then went on Nitro and closed the night with Bizzaro.

It seriously was a great day and a birthday that I will not forget for a long time to come. Kristen and I had so many laughs, a ton of fun and a lot of screams. I can’t wait to do it again!

What a fun birthday! The Tornado sounds incredible!!! There is a Six Flags here in IL but I've never been to the water park - now I am thinking it's time for a visit after your pics!

I'm so happy that you had an amazing birthday! That sounds like a great way to spend it.

I like roller coasters, but I don't know if I'd be brave enough for Kingda Ka. It's crazy that it goes that fast! The picture looks a little frightening.

I also think that the Tornado water ride (slide?) looks like a lot of fun. I saw that on tv one time and it looked so cool! I also love lazy rivers at water parks (probably because I like to do nothing and float around on the water).

I would never have thought about doing something like this on my birthday, but it's a perfect idea. Too bad we don't have any cool water parks or theme parks near me.

Oh Jules, how did I miss your birthday??? Happy Belated Birthday! I can't think of a better way to spend your b-day than riding roller coasters! Have you been to Cedar Point? (I think that's what it's called). The Kingda Ka looks SOOOO fun. I could ride that all day.

Again, SO sorry I missed your birthday =( I'm glad that you had a great time though!!

We have a Six Flags out here but I have never been. I am so afraid of heights! I feel shaky just hearing about these rides haha!
