Weekend recap

Friday was kind of a blur as I was on the laptop working most of the night. My mom came over and Geof made dinner for us. We watched some television and it was a quiet night.

Saturday, Geof and I ran a few errands and then came back home so that I could get some work done. We both took a late afternoon nap and then got ready for to head out. We went to the mall, Target and then headed to Outback for dinner. Afterwards we came back home and starting catching up on Pretty Little Liars.

Sunday, I got to sleep in and relaxed most of the afternoon. My mom came over and took Geof and I to The Melting Pot to celebrate both of our birthday’s since Geof and I are so close together. Dinner was delicious as always and we left completely stuffed.

Geof and I before we left for dinner

The Melting Pot modeled to look like Independence Hall in Philadelphia

Dinner and dessert. The kiwi lime shrimp was fantastic!

Had to take a pic of the cute pink and green fondue forks!

Delicious Dragon Berry Mojito

Once we got back home, Geof and my mom gave me my gifts and I loved everything. It turns out that Geof surprised both my mom and I. He got us tickets to see Lady Gaga when she comes in September (yes my mom loves her too). It will be a late gift for me and an early gift for my mom (since her birthday is in October). He is coming too and I cannot wait to go. We got club box seats, so we will be seeing Gaga in style! I also got the Murfee Scarf I wanted from Lilly Pulitzer and the pretty ring from American Eagle that I love. My mom gave me some birthday money and I’m going to use it to get some other things on my list. The best part of today was honestly just getting to spend time with my mom and Geof. I really am lucky to have such a great mom that is always so supportive a loving husband like Geof.

Pretty new Lilly scarf and ring and me modeling my new scarf!

I think this is what I'll use my b'day money on

After the birthday celebration, Geof and I spent the night with the dogs and watched the latest episode of True Blood. It ended on such a cliffhanger!

Happy Birthday!!

I haven't seen Pretty Little Liars, but it looks like a show that I'd love. I need to check it out.

Oh and I love The Melting Pot (although your is a lot prettier than ours which is in a strip mall). Fondue is so good, especially the dessert ones.

I think that is the cutest picture of the two of you. I love your dress and cardigan.

It looks like you got some lovely gifts. I have been wanting a Lilly Murfee scarf and it looks fab on you! Lady Gaga sounds like it will be a blast, especially with those amazing seats. Oh, and I am really loving the bracelet that you plan to buy with your birthday money!

You're right though - whenever I look back on special occasions, I'm most thankful for the time I get to spend with my loved ones. I hope you had a great celebration!

Happy Birthday!!! It sounds like you had a fabulous weekend celebrating! I just adore your new scarf, and I love the bracelet and bag you've picked out too. Isn't True Blood so good?! I started watching it because it's set in the part of Louisiana where I grew up, so it's cool to hear them mention all the places I spent my childhood. But of course now I'm hopelessly addicted to it!
