Weekend recap

The last few days before the weekend were pretty craptastic, so I was ready for a somewhat quiet weekend. Friday, I did some major house cleaning and was glad to get it done. We got Chinese takeout for dinner which is something I have to be in the mood for and probably only eat once or twice a year. We stayed in and caught up on some shows.

Saturday, Kelly came down to my house to meet me so that we could head off to Kristen’s bridal shower at her mom’s house. Everything was so nice and her mom is like a chef. The food was fantastic and the company great. Kristen looked so pretty and happy. I cannot wait until the wedding in September.

Pretty cupcakes from the shower

After the shower, Kelly came back here for a little bit and then Geof and I stayed in and relaxed the rest of the night. We ended up watching All About Steve OnDemand. Now I see why it won a few razzie awards. Even with Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper, I thought it was a horrible movie.

Sunday, I got up early and took the dogs for a nice long walk. I decided to stay unplugged all day with minimal phone and no computer. It definitely did me good. I watched Purple Rain (love Prince, love this movie), Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion and caught up on So You Think You Can Dance. I also snuck in a late afternoon nap. It was such a lazy day and I needed it.

All about steve WAS horrible wasn't it?? I had high hopes before I watched it and even though lovely Bradley Cooper was in it...it was hard not to shut it off halfway through!

I haven't seen Romy and Michelle's HS Reunion in years!!!!! I LOVE that movie!!!!!!! :D

I had a lazy weekend myself. Sometimes I think that's just what I need.

I love your dress and cardigan at the shower - very cute!

And I agree about All About Steve. I saw it in the theater and thought it was just okay. I must've been desperate to go to the movies that weekend.

I love Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion. I haven't seen it in forever - going to have to watch it soon.

Hope you're having a good Monday and that this week is better than the last!

Finally found something that we don't have in common...Prince lol! I can't get into him at all. I totally love Romy & Michele though =)

I hope your week has gotten better! I don't want you to have craptastic days =(

Love Romy and Michelle's! My sister says it reminds her of my best friend and I, only because we were both blonde and kinda clueless about the world around us! That's high school for you, right!

I was so disappointed in Sandra Bullock when she took a long break and then came back with THAT. It was tragic.

I just got done reading Geof's first post for the hell of it. Ironic that the first post of yours I read is about wedding stuff.

Glad to see you like movies too. I have been following Geof's blog for awhile but never knew about yours.

I love naps.
