Weekend recap

Friday, I ran a few errands and made a quick trip to the mall. I got a new lipstick and lipgloss at Chanel and some pretty scents from Bath & Body Works. My mom came over later on and we watched Dateline and So You Think You Can Dance that I had saved on the DVR. We decided to go to dinner at Nifty Fifty’s and then we both headed our separate ways. I came home, caught up on reading blogs and waited for a call from Geof to pick him up from the airport (he was in NE all week for work). I brought the dogs in the car to surprise him and you should have seen their reaction when they saw him outside of baggage claim waiting for us. I’ve never seen two dogs more happy to see someone.

Saturday, Geof and I headed up to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets and I got some things from the Cosmetics Company Store. They have a great selection of discontinued MAC products and other brands such as Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, etc. I got some things from MAC and the Bronze Goddess perfume from Estee Lauder. It smells amazing and is perfect for summer.

After the outlets, Geof and I went to Max & Erma’s for lunch. I had never been there before and it was delicious. I had some tortilla soup and a yummy cheeseburger. We also got the most delicious chocolate chip cookies warm from the oven. After lunch, we headed to the movies to see Inception. This movie was fantastic and so original. It definitely lived up to the hype and made you think. I highly recommend this one.

Sunday, Geof and I headed to Pinocchio’s for lunch and then visited the beer garden and picked out our own six pack to take home. I tried a bottle of Abita Purple Haze and it is a new favorite. I will definitely be getting it again. After Pinocchio’s, we went to the pet store to pet puppies and then headed to Blockbuster to get a movie. We got a movie called Dread and it was horrible. It is a horror flick that is part of the annual After Dark Horrorfest. Jackson Rathbone (Jasper from Twilight) was in it but that couldn’t salvage the ridiculousness of this flick.

Sunday night was spent watching all our favorite HBO shows. It was a relaxing weekend and great to have Geof back home. I hope that you all had a good one too!

Yay! I love Chanel lipstick and lip glosses. They're probably my favorite and I just feel so decadent when I get some of their make-up because it's packaged so prettily.

It's so sweet that you took your dogs to surprise Geof. I can only imagine how excited they were. That's one of the things I love most about dogs - that they always let you know how happy they are to see you.

This Cosmetics Company Store sounds like someplace that I need to go! I always fall in love with products that wind up getting discontinued and then I'm frantically searching the web for any that are left. I wish we had a place like that close to where I live.

I keep hearing good things about Inception, so I'm going to have to see that. I want to see Salt, with Angelina Jolie as well.

I am not a beer drinker, but if the Purple Haze is anything like a Purple Haze made with sake and chambord, then I might like that.

Your weekend sounds great.

I hope you are having a great Monday so far!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that perfume. And I NEVER EVER wear perfume. I saw it out the outlet and didn't get it and now I cannot find it anywhere. I am kicking myself for not getting it!

Thanks for the Inception recommendation as well - I definitely need to see it soon!

Sounds like a fun weekend Jules! I need to try out some Chanel lipgloss at some point, I've never used it before!

Don't you love when your dogs get that excited to see someone - it's the best feeling in the world! :)

And I need to go seen Inception still - I keep hearing everyone talk about it! I also would love to try the Purple Haze beer. Heck, I'd love to try any beer at this point! LOL!

I hope you have a wonderful week!!

LOVE the lipstick/gloss, such pretty colors. And what a shocker, I'm adoring the vanilla berry spray from B&BWorks! So much in common =) I really liked the Vanilla Coconut but they were all out when I went.

I want to see Inception because of all of the hype. I really don't know what it's about though. Dreams? I loved Leo's last Flick, Shutter Island and it made you think. Is this movie similiar to that one is that sense?

Have a great week, friend!

What a fun weekend!

Love the bath products and cosmetics you stocked up on. Buying that stuff always hits the spot!

Purple Haze Beer? Do you remember a drink called Purple Passion? I think that's what it was called... kinda like a wine cooler but really strong.

Glad y'all had a fun weekend!

I want to see Inception! Maybe one day I can break away from the kiddos and check it out!

I love Chanel's lipstick, it is the very best! Too bad I rarely buy it anymore...the kid thing...lol. However, I do love Mac and I continue to buy that. This momma has to look good!

It sounds like you had a fab weekend! Have a great week.
