Weekend recap

Friday, Geof and I went to Subway for dinner and then to the gym. It’s always nice going on a Friday night when it isn’t as crowded. We came home afterwards and relaxed the rest of the night.

Saturday we had a date day. For lunch, we went to Pinocchio’s and then headed down to Delaware. We visited the Christmas Tree Shops and then went to Target. After that, we went to see Take Me Home Tonight. The movie was very good and not only was it hysterical, but it had a great message about finding yourself. Topher Grace was perfect in the lead role of Matt Franklin as well as Dan Fogler that played Matt’s sidekick, Barry. There were several laugh out loud moments and the 80’s music in the movie had me smiling the whole way through. I wish there were more movies like this. We came home after the movies and watched another movie called Frozen that was OnDemand. It was a disturbing film about friends that got caught on a ski lift. You can imagine what happens.

Great movie!

Sunday was a lazy, rainy day. I baked brownies and made a spaghetti dinner. My mom came over and we all watched Celebrity Apprentice. I also decided to paint my nails and chose OPI Matched Luggage.

P.S. The winner of the frame from The Dahl House is Kristin from Bon Bon Rose Girls. Congrats and thanks to all that entered! There is still time to enter the General Mills and Marley Lilly giveaways.

Glad you liked the movie! I love Topher Grace....and 80s movies. It's a win-win!

How does that color look on? Is it white? Looks pretty in the bottle but sometimes they look totally different on the nail.

I've been wondering if I should see that movie since I love all things 80s. You have convinced me.

Is it crazy that up until a day or two ago I'd never heard of that movie?! Someone told me about it and I've had that song stuck in my head ever since...I even added it to my iPod. I could use a good laugh, maybe I'll drag my guy to it this weekend!

YAY for a good weekend. I'm with Mrs. EyeCanSee. I've never seen this color in person. You should post photos. :)

Oh my gosh, I hated the movie Frozen! It was terrible because it's something that really could happen! I mean, it's exaggerated, but still a real-life scenario that I would not want to be in!

I heard on Howard Stern today that Take Me Home Tonight is really good! I'd love to go see it.

I finally got to try the "gel" polish at the nail salon, and so far I'm loving it. No chipped nails and they're so shiny! I wish I could paint my own nails, but I'm a disaster!!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

I really liked the message, too. It left me leaving and thinking about life in general. Something you don't expect from a comedy. Topher was really cute in the movie...never thought so before lol.

That polish is pretty! Does it come out whiteish?

I really like that nail polish color. Like the commenter above me, I'm wondering what it looks like once painted...is it whitish or does it have a hue of purple too?

:)
