Christmas favorites

The holiday season is officially upon us and I thought it would be fun to start my own Christmas season favorites list and I also hope that some of you will take these questions and answer them yourself. Please let me know if you do, because I would love to hop on over to your blog and read your list!

Traditions
1. Cutting down our Christmas tree at Linvilla Orchards and then warming up by the fire roasting marshmallows and drinking warm apple cider.
2. Decorating the tree and our home while listening to Christmas music favorites.
3. Spending Christmas morning together with my mom and Geof and then heading to my aunt & uncle’s to spend the evening with family.

This is pretty much what it looks like at Linvilla when we head out to cut down our tree!

Songs
1. The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You) – Nat King Cole
2. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee
3. All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey

My family played this song along with many other classics during the holidays when I was a child. It brings back so many great memories.

Movies
1. A Christmas Story
2. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
3. Home Alone

"It's a major award!" ;)

Treats
1. Homemade Christmas cookies, specifically sugar and chocolate chip
2. Chocolate covered pretzels
3. Starbucks Gingerbread Latte

I wish my cookies looked like this!

Decorations
1. Special ornaments (once I dig everything out, I’ll try to post pics)
2. Glittery trees
3. Pretty wreaths

This is a little bit of my decorations from last year, courtesy of Target.

Home Alone is my ALL TIME FAVE holiday movie. My sister and I must have watched it a thousand times growing up. I played it for my stepson last year and he loved it so hopefully he will want to watch it over and over this year like I do.
Mariah Carey All I Want for Christmas puts me in the best mood, I love that song. Always have and always will. I remember when it came out and my sisters and I made up a dance to it and Randy Travis's Jingle Bell Rock, do you remember that song?

Have a great day!!

All three of those movies are a fixture in our house during the holidays. Along with Love Actually and White Christmas!

I love that you get to go and cut down your own tree! How fun. And the hot cider and roasting marshmallows? I want to come spend the holidays with you! Sounds like so much fun.

I hope that you do post photos of your special ornaments - that is a great idea and I want to do that, too! When I go to people's houses at Christmas, I can spend forever looking at all of the ornaments on their tree.

I also love all of those Christmas movies and I really love Home Alone 2! And, I'm definitely wanting some of those delicious-looking sugar cookies. It's terrible being a dessert-fiend lol.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog yesterday!
