Friday, Geof and I had a quiet night in and got caught up on the DVR with some good old Jersey Shore. I also did a top to bottom cleaning of the house and Geof helped with laundry. We were so productive.
Saturday we had a ton of errands to run and got some grocery shopping done too. I made a quick trip to Michael’s and Jo-Ann Fabrics to get supplies for not one, but two craft projects. We came home and I got to crafting. I’ll have to share how they turned out later in the week.
Sunday we watched football on and off while I put the finishing touches on my projects. My mom came over in the evening and I made grilled cheese and tomato soup for everyone. We watched the globes and had a cozy night in.
As I do every year, here are my favorite fashion picks from the night. This year it was all about the black dress, ruffles and sparkle. I also noticed a lot of ladies rocking emerald green. Overall, I think there were more hits than misses. Here are my picks for best dressed:
Olivia Wilde
This was my favorite of the night. She sparkled in Marchesa. Her hair and makeup was also flawless.
Claire Danes
She looked simple and elegant in that Calvin Klein Collection gown. Her body is also incredible.
Carrie Underwood
Always at the top of my list for best dressed. Her Badgley Mischka gown was glistening and absolutely gorgeous.
Natalie Portman
She was glowing in Viktor & Rolf. The pink and red combination was pretty and I thought this was a perfect gown for her growing baby bump.
Eva Longoria
Pure Hollywood glamour. Eva looked fantastic in that black Zac Posen gown. From the cap sleeve to the sparkling brooch...fashion perfection.

I loved Eva Longoria, Angelina Jolie and Lea Michele, but not Natalie, unfortunately - even though I adore her! Ahh! I just love awards season.
I agree with you, Carrie and Eva both looked gorgeous last night! I thought Angelina's green sparkly dress was stunning... if Brad Pitt is on your arm, who cares what you wear lol?!
I am not a fan of Eva...but she looked stunning!
Great choices! Loved Carrie's dress! She's always rockin' it!
Great post, I agreed with you 100%!
It's so funny how different opinions are on the dresses. I thought Olivia's dress had potential, but the bottom looks like a prom dress....I didn't like Eva's dress because it did something funky to her cleavage. I did love Claire Danes' dress.
can't wait to see your crafts!
I agree with all of your dress picks except Natalie Portman. I didn't hate her dress, but I wasn't a fan of the red rose. I did think it was a flattering dress on her though! :)
Olivia Wilde and Claire were my picks too. LOVED! And thank you for all the super kind comments you always leave us. You're the best lady!
So glad you enjoyed a some what quiet weekend. Don't kill me but I didn't watch this year and I really don't think any of the dresses were that fabulous. GASP!!! Still love you though. XOXO
These were some of my favorite fashions of the night as well. I can not wait to watch the Fashion Police tonight on E! to see what they say.
that Olivia Wilde photo is EVERYWHERE. Well deserved publicity though - dress is fantastic! (wait, is dressing to the nines enough to make publicity deserved? Not sure the answer, but, works for me!)
What a perfect weekend! We did a much needed top to bottom house cleaning as well! Missed the Globes, thanks for the fashion recap. Claire Danes looked amazing...I didn't even know she was still around, she kinda fell off the radar!
I loved Olivia's dress. That is EXACTLY would I would want to wear to an awards show. I didn't love her shoes, though.
We have the SAME taste! I adored Olivia's dress. While she's getting flack for the size of it, I still adore it. I love me some sparkle though :)
Glad you had a good weekend. I need to clean my place so bad...I'm just too lazy :O
