Here and gone

All traces of the holidays have left the building (literally and figuratively). We took down the decorations Monday night and it was back to the grind yesterday. I really can’t complain though, since our time off was well spent with friends, family and a healthy dose of date nights!

Here are some highlights:

Had my first red cup of the season.

Saw Young Adult and loved it. Charlize Theron was perfect for the role.

Discovered a new Pinot Noir that I like.

Went on a beautiful birthday celebration/double date night with Kristen and Sean at Longwood Gardens and Dilworthtown Inn.

Kristen and I at Longwood Gardens. Here is a full recap of the night.

Got 1 mani and painted my nails 2 more times.

Zoya Shay w/Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Big Money as an accent nail
Venique in B-Ceen-B-Gorgeous w/Venique in Twinkling Glitter as an accent nail

Revlon Scene Stealer

Had a fun shopping day in Delaware with my mom and got Red Robin…yum!

Went to WWE Raw with Geof (since he's taken me to see Britney and Lady Gaga). I’d be lying if I said I wasn't a little interested in the storylines. We went to Denny’s afterwards and some of the wrestlers showed up.

Geof and I at the Wells Fargo Center, me with The Miz and Zack Ryder, Geof with Nikki Bella and me with Dolph Ziggler

Watched Elf for the first time ever.

Drove around and looked at pretty Christmas lights.

Saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Besides a few differences from the book, I thought the movie was done really well.

Finally saw Love and Other Drugs (first half – good, second half – depressing).

Went down to the city to have lunch at Reading Terminal Market and then went to Macy’s to see the light show. It’s also where the movie Mannequin was filmed!

Baked lots of Christmas goodies.

Spent Christmas Eve at home with my mom and Geof.

Spent Christmas Day at my cousin Bill & Lara’s house with the entire family. I had such a blast with all of my cousins.

Me with two out of the three triplets on Christmas

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are gearing up for the new year!

Looks like you had a great holiday! That's so funny that you saw the Miz. isn't it crazy that he got his start on Real World? That just cracks me up. I hope you have a restful rest of the year and a great New Years!

I totally agree about Love And Other Drugs! Depressing, but good. Jake was too adorable! Didn’t you just love Elf? I’m not a huge Will Ferrell fan, but that’s a good movie! Cute nail polish! I love the sparkly ring finger! Aww, Mannequin. That’s brings back memories! Looks like you had a great month! Happy New Year!

I love Elf! Such a sweet movie. I thought Young Adult was very good. Wasn't sure what to think of the end but Charlize was perfect for that role!

Looks like the perfect way to spend the holidays-with family and friends :)

Sounds like a great holiday!

I totally used to watch wrestling with my brothers. How embarrassing lol but I thought it was interesting :)

I took all of our holiday decor down the day after Christmas. Jeff just has to take down our fake tree.

Dang girl, your decor is already down? Good for you! I can't bring myself to do it yet and I know if I wait any longer, it'll be up until after I have this baby. ha!!

We went to that Macy's two years ago after Thanksgiving! Apparently I am the only non Scrooge in my family as no one else wanted to go!

I can live without the decorations but I sure do miss red cups when they are gone. LOL!

I love the way you did the accent nail with the polishes!!! How did they hold up? I'm going to be heading back to that store tomorrow night and might need to buy some for myself. ;)

I'm glad you had such a wonderful Christmas!! You deserve it my friend! Love ya!!!
