Weekend recap

First, I want to thank everyone for their sweet comments on my last past. I wish I knew so many of you in real life. You’re so supportive and genuinely care. I truly appreciate your kind words and reading them today made me feel a lot better. I was a basket case last night and with Geof traveling and me being home alone when it happened made me feel sick.

Friday was rainy and cold outside. Geof and I were going to stay in and watch movies. We decided later to go out and grab a bite to eat at Pinocchio’s. You cannot beat their thin crust pizza and they have a special where it is all you can eat pizza & soda for $6.34. That is a deal! After dinner, we came home and watched Surveillance. It was a good, but disturbing movie. It was never in the theater, but one of those movies that turned out surprisingly good regardless.

Saturday, Geof and I had a lazy day. We’ve both been under a lot of stress at our jobs and needed it. That night, we went to the mall and Geof got some things for our Hawaii trip and I got the new Clinique Superbalanced Powder Makeup w/SPF 15. It seems like another version of Bare Minerals, but I like it. After the mall, we grabbed dinner at Outback. I ate so late and felt like trash when we left. It was good though. Shame on us for going to dinner as late as we did.

Sunday, my mom and I had a wonderful day. We went to Media for “Super Sunday” which is a day that comes each September and people set-up tables to sell their goods and services. It is kind of like a giant flea market, but there are also a lot of new and handmade things like a craft show. They also have a ton of yummy food. We ended up grabbing breakfast at the Sweet Potato Café & Bakery. We each had a yummy homemade bagel. They weren’t too heavy and were so delicious.

After Media, we went to the local community college because we heard they were having a huge flea market too. We did lots of browsing and between both places, I bought a few things. After the flea market, my mom and I went to T.J. Maxx and I walked out empty handed (which usually never happens). After that, we went and had lunch at the Dairy Cottage and then I came home and relaxed. We all know what happened later that night and that was my weekend in a nutshell!

Handmade mother of pearl necklace I got at Super Sunday. The lady that makes them seems to take great pride in her work. It is so classic and I love it!

Cute hand-painted bucket I got at Super Sunday. I may put a small pot of mums or Halloween candy inside.

Necklaces I got at the flea market so cheap. The lady even threw the long chaing in for free. I love the tassel necklace and think it will be so cute with fall outfits. The pearls are obviously costume, but the quality was so nice and I love the clasp. It looks very vintage!

How fun! I love going to events like that - we have some a couple times a year here.

I love all of your necklaces, especially the mother of pearl one! How pretty! You must show some pictures of yourself wearing them!

Also, I saw on your comment on my last post that you had been online shopping, too! Can't wait to see what you got!

And I rarely come out of TJ Maxx's empty handed as well!! I get proud of myself when I do! :)

Hope you are having a great week - esp after the fire indecent!! Goodness!!!
