Friday, the ladies and I went over to our friend Krystie’s house for a girl’s night. The wine was flowing and the food was delicious. Everyone made a little something and we had a feast. We had ribs, cous cous salad with apples and cranberries, homemade baked beans, cornbread, and s’mores for dessert.
The main reason for going to Krystie’s was so that we could see her baby, Bryce. He is now 5 months old and as adorable as ever. The ladies and I were hogging him most of the night. I didn’t want to put him down. He is such a happy baby!
Baby Bryce!
Saturday, Geof and I went to a benefit at the pool and people were actually swimming, even though the water was freezing. It was nice to see everyone and say goodbye until next summer. After the pool, we came home and got ready to go out with our friend’s Cory and Laura to celebrate Cory’s birthday. We went to The Melting Pot for dinner and it was delicious, as always.
Geof and I at the pool
Laura and Cory and Geof and I...gotta love the steam from the pot
Sunday, we took it easy. We did a little grocery shopping and then came home and watched some football. Geof is in full blown fantasy mode…enough said. I snoozed a few hours on the couch and then my mom came over and made dinner for us. We watched the VMA’s and then the season finale of True Blood. I cannot believe how many storylines were left hanging on True Blood, but I was really happy that Lady Gaga won so many VMA’s! I also have to say that Florence from Florence and The Machine put on an amazing performance. Thank goodness some people can still sing live and sound amazing.

Looks like y'all had a great weekend! I watched Mad Men instead of the VMA's but plan to catch it on reruns. Did see Taylor Swifts performance and loved it!
That is one cute baby. Already cold enough for the water to be chilly? I wish it were so here.
Awww Bryce is precious!!! I'm glad you had such a great weekend. You are making me crave Melting Pot right now!! Ahhh!!!! :)
He is such a cutie!!! Um...I could totally go for some melting pot right now. Glad you had a great weekend!!! XOXO
The ending of True Blood killed me! and we have to wait soo long until the next season :(
What a cute baby! Sounds like you had a packed weekend. Have a great week!
I love how Gaga asked Cher to hold her meat purse. haha
What a cute baby!! I didn't watch the VMAs, but I'm sure they will be on a million times this week, so I'm not worried.
Ahh! True Blood! I have to wait until tonight - I cannot wait to see what happens!
Glad you had a fun weekend! I tried to watch the VMA's, but I just couldn't get into it this year. Glad Lady Gaga did well though...I like her!
Have a good week!
I didn't watch the VMAs, but I heard that no one was a huge fan of it!
Lady Gaga's meat ensemble was so nasty, but ironically, it was her cutest outfit. LOL!!
I missed the VMAs :-( I was stuck in a hotel in Lawrence, Kansas and forgot they were on.
Hey sweet pea! How are you doing dearest Jules? Busy as ever I am sure, me too....we need to get our acts together and get a date on the calendar - what's looking good for y'all? LOVE that little baby Bryce, OMG, what a cutie pie! You and Geof look great as always, glad it was such a fun, relaxing weekend! Melting Pot...nom nom nom!! xoxoxo
I am sorry I cannot stand Lady Caca, as I have named her ;) I liked her about three years ago but am so over her now. Really? A meat dress? Yuck!
But anyways :)...Bryce is a little cutie! And it sounds so fun to do a dinner party! Glad you had a great weekend!
I watched the VMA's. Lady Gaga changed clothes so much.
Sounds like a nice weekend! Bryce is so cute :)
