Weekend recap

Friday, Geof and I headed to my old high school for Friday night football! It’s always a great time bumping into old teachers/friends and seeing the Panthers take the field. Back in high school I was on dance team (part of band) and still have serious pride for everything band related. It was actually the “cool” thing to do at my school and I’m a proud band geek. It seriously looks like an army marching out onto the field and they’re up to almost 400 members across band, dance team and flags. Seeing them go out at halftime and in the stands brings back my best memories from high school.

Blast from the past pic of me from Dance Team!

Friday Night Lighs!

Saturday, Geof and I went to the King of Prussia mall and then went to the movies to see Easy A. It was a smart comedy and actually very good. Emma Stone is a great actress and there were a lot of familiar faces in the film. It’s been awhile since a good teen comedy came out and this one gets my vote. After the movies, we headed to Max & Erma’s for dinner. I love that their food is good and not that expensive.

Sunday, we had a quiet day at home and I had a date with the DVR most of the afternoon. My mom came over to visit in the evening and then Geof and I got excited for the return of Dexter!

I also wanted to announce the winner of the True Prep Crest giveaway. There were 74 entries total and I used Random.org to pick the winner. The winner of the giveaway belongs to #4 and that is…Preppy Girls Meets World! Congrats and thank you to everyone that entered. A new General Mills/Target Gift Card giveaway will be up tomorrow.

Looks like you had a great weekend. My bro-in-law is a hs coach so we attend at least one or two of his game each year. Oh to be young again... ;)

How fun!! I wish our football team was even decent in high school. I also feel like I got ripped off in college because we didn't have a football team at all :( But our baseball team did win the College World Series twice while I was there...

Love the pic from h.s. You look the same :)

Now I want to see Easy A!

Have a great week!

You are the millionth person who has said Easy A is good! But, I am scared to go to the movies in NYC cause they found bed bugs in a couple of theaters!

I have such fond memories of h.s. football games! LOVED them! :)
I thought Easy A was fun, Emma Stone is gonna be the new IT girl, I think! I loved the references to the old 80's John Hughes movies!

Oh how I wish my high school was closer.....we lived Friday Night Lights when I was growing up, gotta love small town football in the south...sigh :(

Anyway, what did you think about Dexter?? I don't want to post any spoilers, but I wasn't as impressed with the first episode, I hope it was boring only because they are setting up the rest of the season!

I love that you are proud of being in the band - me, too! I actually miss it sometimes. It was a lot of fun and we were all such close friends.

That is the cutest picture of you from your band days, too! I love it!

I'm glad you wrote about Easy A - I keep hearing that people loved it, but didn't even have a sense of what it was about. I definitely want to see it now.
