Weekend recap

This weekend can be summed up in one word…SNOW! We got 25 inches and it is still a mess around here. We started to dig out last night, but our main driveway and secondary roads are still in bad shape. We haven’t left the house since Friday when we were able to sneak in a quick Target and Blockbuster trip before the storm hit.

The weekend has been filled with lots of cooking, catching up on shows, shoveling and the Super Bowl. This afternoon I made cake balls for Valentine’s Day and that has really been it. Skating was obviously cancelled yesterday, but 3 hours of shoveling was quite the workout.

Thursday tidbits

I bought The Shred at Target on Monday and did it on Tuesday night for the first time. Jillian is no joke. I cannot imagine what Levels 2 and 3 will be like.

Gwen knows that I’ve been getting back into working out and just trying to be healthier. She sent me this sweet surprise in the mail with a card saying how I could use this for my gym stuff (keys, phone, etc.). It is perfect!



I saw on the news that Snooki from Jersey Shore got a makeover for a photo shoot. She looks so different.



We may be getting punched with another massive snowstorm over the weekend. I can’t take anymore!

Buried

Get out your ice scrapers and find you mittens, because they’re calling for up to 20 inches of snow in parts of our area. It’s only 5pm and we already have about 8 inches. It isn’t supposed to end until the early morning hours on Sunday.

This could not happen at a worse time for Christmas procrastinators like me. I’ve been busy working ridiculous hours at work this week and haven’t had time to get much done. At least I can get the gifts I already have wrapped, since we’re stuck at the house. Maybe I’ll even do some baking too.

Snowy night

The weather forecasters were wrong again. They said we would get a “light dusting” of snow today into the evening and we have about 3 inches and it is still coming down. We took the dogs out and poor Chase can hardly walk in it. They love it though. If it wasn’t so cold, we would have stayed out longer.

Tomorrow will be my 100th post. I cannot believe how quickly I got here. Be on the lookout for my giveaway. It is my first and I’m excited!
