Time for another monthly anniversary post! Yesterday was our 8 month anniversary and sadly, hubby was away on business in Charleston, SC. (that is probably why I forgot).
For today, I have a funny story to share about our ceremony. When it happened, I didn’t think it was so funny, but now we look back and have a good laugh about it.
In the beginning of our service during our ceremony, our pastor said that there was to be no photography. My photographer didn’t listen because she wanted to capture those special moments like the first kiss, lighting the unity candle, etc. She was snapping away and when the pastor went to do a reading, he basically interrupted the service to admonish her in front of everyone. I was sitting in my pew completely mortified and everyone was silent. She basically put her hands up as if she were backing away from a police officer and stepped aside. I loved my photographer and she was my favorite vendor to work with by far. I was embarrassed that it happened and felt bad for her.
She is a tough cookie and took it with a grain of salt. We all had a good laugh about it afterwards and to this day, our guests make jokes about it. We recently got our wedding video and that part was obviously edited out. Everyone keeps saying we have to get the unedited footage!

I hope you have a great Friday tomorrow!!
ahhh good for your photographer to snap away for as long as she could =)! Beautiful pics!!!
Happy 8th month together! I hope your guys are enjoying it!!
I love that story about your photographer. In our church its considered disrespectful to clap/cheer/make noise in a place of worship so the priest always gets a crazy look on his face when people clap. I don't think he was expecting 300 Greeks to start "WHOOOPING" in church! Classic moment!
Gorgeous pictures!
You were a beautiful bride:)
Thanks for following my blog! I'm glad I found yours now, and can follow along, too!
Congrats on yr first 8 months! What a story from your wedding, I admire yr photographer for being such a tough cookie & realizing how great it would be to get the shots:)

Happy 8 months. Love the photographer story.
I love your flowers too! They are so fresh and fabulous!
Yup 8 wonderful months. You know that nothing is ever "normal", so it comes as no surprise to me that something like the pastor freaking out happened to us. In retrospect, I can laugh a little but we should have gotten some monetary reparation for that.
And it was downtown Charlotte, NC not Charleston, SC. :)
That is funny! My parents are sticklers on no pics during the ceremony, but I really want them (mostly b/c I hear it all goes by too fast and I want to remember everything). Happy 8 month anniversary :)
