Weekend recap

Friday, my friend Colleen came over and we went to get pedicures together. It was so relaxing and I ended up getting a manicure and brow wax too (I was way overdue for all!). We stopped for a quick bite afterwards and then came back to my house. Kelly came over with her sister Michelle and Colleen, Kelly and I got ready to go out. Michelle just graduated from high school and is staying down here for a little while since she will be starting college here in the fall. I always love her visits. She is like a little sister to me too.

We went to The Deck and unfortunately the weather wasn’t that great so we weren’t outside all night like we wanted to be. There was a band on stage called HyJinx and they were really good. They had a female lead singer and she was singing Lady Gaga and things like that. I loved it! It was a nice mix to hear them play and then the DJ. We had lots of fun, danced it up and ran into some people we haven’t seen in awhile.

Saturday, Kelly and her sister Michelle came to the pool with me and we laid out and relaxed. After the pool, hubby got back from his work trip and the four of us went to see The Hangover. I cannot tell how hysterical this movie was. I was cracking up the entire time and it was the funniest movie I have seen all year. I heart Bradley Cooper. The movie had some great lines and was completely ridiculous. This is seriously the fourth weekend in a row that I have gone to the movies and I need to stop. After the movie, we went to Nifty Fifty’s and had some yummy food. Kel and Michelle stayed over and we had a nice night.

Sunday, we all went to the pool and Geof and I ended up playing 3 games of beach volleyball. I forgot how much I missed playing. It was so fun, I got a lot of sun and I didn’t want to leave. It felt so good to take a dip in the pool when we were done playing.

This is our pool!

I love the summer, but it seems to go so fast. I know there is still plenty of time left, but I cannot believe it is already June. I want the rest of the summer to s-l-o-w down! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Sounds like you had a fab weekend! My brother saw The Hangover and obviously said it's a must see! And PS. I'm SO jealous of you and your pool.. Our old apartment complex had a great pool and despite Hubs' attempts at getting me to rent there for another year, I insisted we move to a pool-less 85 year old twin where we mow the lawn/vacuum/dust/fix something that's broken every single Sunday. Ew.

Your weekend sounds fantastic. Sounds like something I'd like to do if I wasn't always so freaking busy on my weekends!

I love your pool oh so much. GORGEOUS!

Hangover- freaking hilarious. Loved it. I didn't stop laughing from the first line to the last. Oh, I have loved Bradely for many many years!

What pool is this? I'm pretty sure I've been to it especially if its in a Philly suburb...lol you can send me an e-mail if you want so it's not public. I'm pretty sure I had swim meets there though

I just don't know if I want to see The Hangover - is it like Forgetting Sarah Marshall or Superbad?? I really didn't like those. Maybe I should give it a try though, I've heard everyone likes it!!

I wish it had been warm enough to go to the pool here, but it was in the 60's all weekend! I know, in LA! Crazy!

Have a great week!! xoxo

It sounds like you had the perfect weekend! And I am SO envious of your pool! I got spoiled with a pool like that when I was in college (I love to swim laps), but now I'm resigned to a much smaller apartment pool. So your pool just brought back so many memories!
